Stressful life events and leukocyte telomere attrition in adulthood: a prospective population-based cohort study

Summary
Recent exposure to traumatic events predicted telomere loss. This study did not find an association between a measure of lifetime threatening events and telomere length. Nor did it find an association between stressful events in childhood and telomere length in adulthood.
